The NNLL Giants downed the depleted NNLL Astros, 14-1 before an unannounced crowd of 37 fans at the NMHS Minor Field on Thursday, May 11. Each Giants player in the lineup reached base at least once, as the hit parade was led by Donovan Mosier, Kyle Trask, Reggie Miccoli and Tommy Gallagher. Derrick Rivas made his first appearance on the mound and pitched two plus innings of scoreless ball. Showing a feisty spirit throughout, the Astros were without several key players as their lineup was full of Minor division rookies. The Astros pushed across a run in the top of the 4th inning to avoid the shutout.

Philip Lee was out of the lineup for the Giants and has been placed on the inactive list due to medical concerns.
