Second grade student at Pioneer Elementary School in Union City, Jillian Jamero, age 8, won her first Karate Grand Championships in both forms and sparring at the 4th Annual Monterey Open at Monterey Peninsula College. She has been training since she was 5 years old under the instruction of Professor Max Pallen. Jillian currently holds a brown belt.
