Fremont appoints new Deputy City Managerby Nancy Carlson
Fremont City Manager Fred Diaz announced the appointment of Melissa Stevenson Dile as a new Deputy City Manager for the City of Fremont. Dile is currently the Assistant to the City Manager for the City of Morgan Hill, California. She replaces Assistant City Manager Lynn Macy, who retired in December, 2005 after five years of service to the City of Fremont and 30 years in public service. Dile will begin work on June 26, 2006.
Ms. Dile was chosen after an extensive executive search process. She has worked with the City of Morgan Hill since 1991 in a variety of capacities including Acting Human Resources Director, as well as overseeing the City's information technology services.
She holds a Masters in Public Administration from San Jose State University, and a Bachelors Degree in History and Government from Mills College.
Ms. Dile will be a member of the City's Executive Team and will oversee the Human Resources, Information Systems and City Clerk departments. |
