Mission high wins business association honorby Gary Leatherman, FUSD Communications Director
The California Business for Education Excellence Foundation and Just for the Kids - California named Mission San Jose High School to their 2005 Honor Roll at an awards ceremony May 1 in San Francisco. Using data from Just for the Kids-California, an affiliate of the National Center for Educational Accountability, the CBEE Foundation identified and honored the 187 highest performing public schools in California that are consistently raising academic achievement and closing achievement gaps for all students.
MSJHS was honored as a Scholar High School. A Scholar School is one that shows significant academic achievement, more than 80 percent of its students testing at the proficient level and all subgroups of students out-performing statistical expectations. |
