Fremont's forgotten architectural historyby Arathi Satish
It is indeed fitting that the Fremont Main Library is holding an event about the Fremont's Forgotten Architectural History on May 17. Continuing their celebrating of Fremont's 50 anniversary, the Fremont Main Library is presenting this event in their series of programs that have highlighted local history and growth.
Fremont's architectural heritage acts as the doorway to many stories and secrets of the past. This virtual tour of Fremont, hosted by Heritage Team member Al Minard will be interesting. The Heritage Team programs to celebrate Fremont's 50th anniversary highlight the rich historical past of the city. The Heritage Team's Fremont Stories Project include speakers bureau, oral history project and heritage tours. Minard's extensive experience includes not only eight years on the Fremont Historical Architectural Review Board but active participation in many local and state historical societies.
