Applications accepted for technology committee
by Gary Leatherman
The Fremont Unified School District Board of Education is forming a Technology Advisory Committee to help the district improve the application of technology to instruction and information management. The committee will be expected to help update the district technology plan; to facilitate technology-related communication and training among staff; and to consult in the management of data collection and assessment.
To accomplish those goals, the committee will need to assess the current infrastructure, hardware and software, identify existing services, identify potential resources and develop a plan of action.
The district is inviting community members who are interested in joining the committee to submit an application. The Board is expected to appoint the eight members of the standing committee in May. Committee members will consult with affected staff and community members as needed in the course of developing specific elements of the plan.
