On Sunday Kidango will host its Annual Taster's Showcase. The Newark/Fremont Hilton is the site of the event, a gala supported by several local vendors benefiting this organization.

Kidango is a private, nonprofit agency that offers services to children and families in Alameda, Santa Clara, and San Francisco counties. Kidango provides child care, care for the mentally disabled or learning impaired, mental health support, a state preschool program, teen parent programs, head start programs for low-income children, parent education, and scholarships for children from low-income families or with disabilities.

Taster's Showcase is a must-attend event for every fan of food. Spend an afternoon enjoying excellent fare from some of the best local restaurants and caterers while sipping fine wines and other beverages. The showcase will also feature a live auction, silent auction and a drawing.

While guests are enjoying the festivities, they will be contributing to children in need. The Kidango Taster Showcase generally raises over $50,000 to benefit over 3,300 children that they serve.
