MVP David Lucero, Home runs hit by Keegan McCafery and Robert Cisneros.

Rookie Nationals vs A's

The Nationals played a very exciting game against the A's. Both teams played extremely well! The Nationals MVP award and game ball went to Deven Wani. Deven had 4 hits and some great defensive plays.

Thursday, April 13
Rookie Nationals vs Angels

The Nationals played a tough game against the hard-hitting Angels. The Nationals MVP award and game ball went to Nick Discipio for an awesome job playing Catcher!

MINOR DIVISION

Thursday, April 6
Minor A's vs Angels

Top Players: Kaualoha Asing, Myrissa Pinaula, Rondrig Bautista, Dominik Luzader.

Kaualoho Asing, Starting Pitcher, held the Angels to 1 run in the first inning and had 4 strikeouts in 2 innings. Great pitching performances were also given by Myrissa Pinaula, who struck out the side in the 3rd inning for a total of 5 strikeouts in two innings and Rondrig Bautista who struck out the side in the 5th inning. The A's had a big offensive inning in the fourth with 4 runs being scored by Asing, Pinaula, Bautista and Luzader. Game ball went to Dominik Luzader for 7 stolen bases and scoring 2 runs.


Saturday, April 8

Minor Giants 14, Minor A's 6

Top Players: Rodriel Baustisa, Rondrig Bautista

Highlights:
Rodriel Baustisa led off the 2nd inning by hustling out a dropped 3rd strike and then stealing 2nd, 3rd and home to bring in the 2nd run of the game for the A's. Game ball went to Rondrig Bautista for his pitching efforts in the last 3 innings of the game.

Dodgers 1, Diamondbacks 2

Top Players:
D'Backs offense - David Shan and Mark Garcia scored Justin Owens 1 for 2 and Zack Souza 1 for 2.
D'Backs defense - Mark Garcia pitched 3 innings, 5 strikeouts, 5 walks, 1 earned run. Justyn Thomas pitched 3 innings, 3 strikeouts, 5 walks.
Justin Owens was a key player at short stop and Kyle Lee caught a pop fly in centerfield.

Game Summary:
The Diamondbacks met some tough competition against the Dodgers. Kenneth Kalning pitched a strong 4 innings with only 2 hits, 5 strike outs and 2 walks. David Shan of the Diamondbacks scored in the first inning.

Dodger Nick Terra scored in the top of the second inning from Dodgers Kalning's hit. Mark Garcia of the Diamondbacks made his way home from a pass ball in the bottom of the second inning. The Dodgers kept getting men on base but the Diamondback defense fought to keep them from coming home.

It was an intense 6th inning with the Dodgers bases loaded and two out. Nick terra tried to get Marty Leggett home but the pitcher Justin Thomas threw to catcher Zack Souza who stopped Leggett from scoring giving the Diamondbacks the win.

Dodgers faced tough competition playing with only 8 players. Kenneth Kalning pitched a great game, went 3-3 with a walk an one RBI, Josh Jespersen 1-3 with a walk, Cody Samao hit a big blast to center field caught by Kyle Lee of the D-backs and did an awesome job for the first time behind home plate, Lorenzo Aguirre came into the 5th inning to shut down D-backs with three strike outs. MVP of game, Kenneth Kalning.

Monday, April 10th

Minor A's 6, Minor Cardinals 9
Top Player: Emily Pinson
Highlights: The A's had a big offensive inning in the 4th with 6 runs scored by Kaualoha Asing, Myrissa Pinaula, Rondrig Bautista, Marco Ureno, Josh Fujinaga and Justin Young. An extraordinary pitching performance was given by Emily Pinson who pitched 2 scoreless innings, striking out 5 of the 6 batters she faced.


Cardinals 9 vs A's 6
Minor Cardinals got their 2nd win of the season battling the A's. Tyler Janitz pitched 3 solid innings, with no runs scoring and 4 strike outs. Tyler made 4 outs, also hitting a triple, single and a double clearing the bases. The Cardinals defeated the A's 6 to 9.

Thursday, April 13th

Minor Red Sox 2 vs. Dodgers 1
Red Sox and Dodgers played a thrilling game, but the Red Sox out-dueled the Dodgers 2-1. For the Dodgers, Kenneth Kalning pitched 2 innings giving up no runs on 1 hit and Josh Shah pitching 4 innings giving up 2 runs on 6 hits with 7 strikeouts. The Dodgers only run came in the 4th inning.

For the Red Sox, their pitching held the Dodgers to just 3 hits. David Collins went 4 innings allowing 1 unearned run and 1 hit, followed by Quis McBride 1 inning, no hits and Joey Hockett 1 inning with no runs on 2 hits. Red Sox scoring: a walk to Quis McBride, followed by a double by Tad Lehane in the 4th. The final run for the Red Sox was scored in the top of the 6th with 2 on; Drew Andre got the game winning single scoring Edward Abraham with the game's final run.

Dodgers top hitters: Kenneth Kalning went 1-2 with a walk and run scored, Nick Terra 1-1 with a walk and a single, Colten Ott 1-3 with an RBI by bringing Kenneth home
Top pitchers: Kenneth Kalning 2 innings giving up one run on 1 hit, Josh Shah 4 innings with 7 strikes out and 2 runs, Colten Ott had a good game behind the plate throwing 3 people out at second, Nick Terra had a great infield catch and MVP of game.

MAJOR DIVISION

Saturday, April 1st

Major A'S
Top Player: Tyler Hill
Tyler pitched a no hitter game which led the team to victory.

Saturday, April 8th
Top Player: Alex Long
Alex's excellent pitching skills helped the A's to a 11-1 win.

Tigers vs Giants
Tigers pulled out a 5-4 victory over the Giants.
Top players: Andrew Horne - 2 run home run, Ryan Lee 7 assists at 2nd base, DJ Kay - 4 innings pitched, with 4 k's, Jordan Johnson - 3 innings pitched, 4 k's, Walter Ott- 12 put outs at 1st base.

Thursday, April 13th
The Major Giants were blanked by the Cards 11-0. The Giants tried to put a run up on the board when DJ Kay singled in the 5th inning and David hit a double to left center. DJ also came in to pitch the final inning. David had 6 put-outs behind the plate.
