Fremont (Business Wire), April 12_Lam Research Corporation (NASDAQ:LRCX) announced that it has been named one of the 110 Best Places to Work in the Bay Area. In the Big Companies category, defined as 501 to 3000 employees, Lam placed third.

Companies make the list based solely on the results of an anonymous 38-question online employee survey. Employees rate their companies on team effectiveness, retention risk, alignment with goals, trust with co-workers, sense of individual contribution, manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, work engagement, and people practices. Lam received the highest ratings for trust in senior leadership, trust with coworkers, and alignment with goals.

Lam was distinguished among nominated companies for providing many employee benefits and services not widely available, only 13 percent reported offering concierge service, 18 percent adoption assistance, 22 percent sabbaticals, 28 percent gym allowances, and 30 percent stock option plans.

In its third year, the list is a special publication of the San Francisco Business Times, East Bay Business Times, and the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal.
