For over 15 years, Hopkins Junior High School in Fremont has hosted a springtime school-wide talent show aptly termed Spring Fling. This year it will be held on April 27 and 28. Auditions are held in February for this popular event and only the best performers are selected. Singing and dancing are typically well represented but other talents are included as well and include solo and group performances.
It takes almost 40 people (cast and tech) to put on this performance. "It is quite a monumental show, but it is worth all the hard work," says Theresa Boteilho, drama teacher and director of Spring Fling. "I think the Spring Fling is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their talent. I enjoy watching the students achieve success in front of their teachers, parents, and peers."
Tickets are $5 and go on sale on April 24 and are available for purchase between 11:35 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. in the Hopkins office. For more information call (510) 656-3500 x38100.
