The FC Fremont (U14) girls soccer team "Into the Blue" played a team from Newark, "Lil Pumas" on Saturday, April 1, at Celtic Field. The game was an exciting, high octane, hard fought contest until the final whistle, and resulted in a tie score, 1-1.

"Into the Blue" forward Melody Chen scored the first goal with an assist from midfielder Sneha Thatipelli. Rachel Heng played center field with fervor as always. Erica Wong made some great saves in the backfield and a super run downfield to almost score a goal. Katie Lindsay and Alyssa Gilbert played outstandingly as defender and goalie. "Lil Puma" also played great and tied the game while using no substitutes.
