Rotary features spring fashions
Rotarians know how to throw a party and they are using the beginning of spring as a good time to gather for fun and look at this year's crop of new fashions. Hosted by the Fremont and Fremont Sunrise Rotary clubs, Castlewood Country Club will be the setting on Saturday, April 8, featuring a luncheon, silent auction and a chance to win a special dinner with the Fremont Firefighters.
Auction items include: Flight Seeing for two people for four people aboard a Piper Malibu Jet Prop single engine turboprop airplane; a Day on the Delta where four lucky people will enjoy a day on the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta aboard a Nordic boat; dinner for five with the Fremont Firefighters who will delight guests with a ride on a fire engine and tour of the firehouse; a ladies gold and silver RADO Swiss wristwatch; and a motorized scooter.
Rotary clubs contribute to many philanthropic organizations in the community including medical care for homeless shelter residents, SAVE, leadership for Interact students in high school, American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, Ohlone Humane Society, the Wheelchair Foundation, Tri-City Volunteers, and Tri-City Homeless Coalition's BridgeWay East housing development.
Tickets are $40 per person. For more information call (510) 656-5258.
