Attorney General to address League of Women Votersby John R. Smith
State Attorney General Bill Lockyer will be the keynote speaker at the League of Women Voters of Alameda County Forum to call attention to National Sunshine Week-Openness in Government.
Elected and appointed officials and the public are invited to learn more about, "Transparency in Government Decision Making-Can We Make it Better?" addressed by Lockyer and three panels of experts in the field.
The seven Leagues in Alameda County are participating in this national event to increase the awareness and understanding of government officials and the public about openness in government decision making and a citizen's right to know.
