Invisible threads made visible
Fiber Optic Artist Ann M. Clark offers a unique opportunity for a sneak preview of the one-woman show. Ann uses a variety of media, from traditional to high tech, to describe our world using fiber as the connecting theme. Creation myths intrigue her and are the major inspiration behind her on-going investigation into fiber. She is interested in ancient and symbolic meanings and how truths from the past can be represented and made relevant in contemporary contexts.
Join in for a fascinating morning including a docent tour of her show, a discussion of additional works not in the show as well as how she searches for visual images which will show interconnections between the physical and metaphysical, corporeal and spiritual worlds. The exhibition runs from Feb. 24 to April 1.
