Blue Agave at Pearl's opens

For many years, Fremont's Pearl's Cafè has been one of those small restaurant gems, jealously guarded by locals and known to connoisseurs of fine dining. Those in the know have whispered its name to close friends and associates, afraid of overwhelming the intimate character, exemplary service and haute cuisine. When change comes to places such as this, the dining community looks on with some trepidation. In the case of Pearl's, diners who have come to expect the best of a fine dining experience have nothing to fear.

Blue Agave at Pearl's has opened the familiar doors, now redecorated with panache, serving a style of Mexican Cuisine that while familiar to the jet set, may astonish others. Lunch time is relaxed and informal while dinner retains a formality and style that competes with any world class fine dining establishment. Just as the Blue Agave plant is highly prized and creates the finest Tequila, so will this restaurant be known for its "alta cocina" and flair. Blue Agave is in the process of applying for a license to include its famous selection of Tequila drinks (beer and wine is available), but don't let that slow you from a visit. The food is outstanding and reflects a side of Mexican cuisine many have yet to experience.

Owned by Alexandro and Susan Garcia and managed by Jorge Cervantes, Blue Agave at Pearl's promises a unique and welcome experience. These people are no neophytes to the dining scene; three other restaurants under their leadership have earned rave reviews throughout the Bay Area. Fiesta Del Mar and Fiesta Del Mar Too in Mountain View and Blue Agave in Pleasanton have earned the applause of those who appreciate an exquisite blend of authentic Mexican cuisine and California style cooking.
