Sharks Ice at Fremont to give free sports clinicsby Norbert Tydingco
During one week of the winter Olympic Games, Sharks Ice at Fremont will host a "Olympic Experience" event to give kids and adults a taste of the sports that they see on TV. These events will be free to the public, and will feature a figure skating exhibition and clinic, ice hockey introductory clinic, curling demonstration and clinic, and speed skating introductory clinic.
If you've ever wanted to try these sports, now is your opportunity to do so. Sharks Ice employees and instructors will be on hand to answer any questions that you have about these sports, or to tell you the best way that you can get involved in classes or leagues. Skates and/or equipment rental for the day is provided free of charge, and participants are free to bring their own gear if they wish (for the hockey event, helmet, sticks and skates will be provided).
To register for any of these events, call Sharks Ice at (510) 623-7200 or visit www.sharksiceatfremont.com and look for the "Olympic Experience" link located in the "Events and Promotions Calendar." For more information, contact Mike Bruins at (408) 999-6767 or email mbruins@logitechice.com.
