The Fremont Unified School District Citizen's Bond Oversight Committee met Wednesday, Feb. 1, at the FUSD Education Center to receive the annual audit report. Mike Henkel, the representative from Goodell, Porter and Fredericks, Certified Public Accountants presented the report. He said his team spent two days in Fremont reviewing documents that showed the bond proceeds were spent in accordance with the Proposition 39, Series 2002 Bond.
All spending is in accordance with the bond as voted on by the Fremont taxpayers, only projects approved by the taxpayers have been included, all bidding has been in accordance with state laws, all inspections have been in a timely manner, and no salaries other than approved project management have been paid from bond funds. Henkel complimented the district for doing a great job managing the bond projects and the CBOC for their oversight. It is great to be able to report to the voters that their money is being spent in the manner they intended. |
