Everyone is welcome to help in planning the 51st Annual Newark Days Celebration to be held Sept. 14 to 17 this year. The theme for 2006 is "Newark Days- It's All Here" which should prove to generate a lot of fun ideas to make this a banner year of fun for everyone.

Last year, over 110,000 people from all over the Bay Area came to enjoy the many activities of Newark Days. The first planning meeting will be held 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 17 at the Hilton Hotel, 39900 Balentine Dr., Newark. Check the reader board in the lobby for location. Besides election of officers and committee chair assignments, ideas will be shared for this year's theme as well as selecting the theme for 2007. Newark Days planning and volunteers come from throughout Newark, Fremont, Union City and beyond. Come join the fun of planning the biggest party of the year. Your ideas and enthusiasm are welcome.
