Minor League Football looking for playersby Freddie Muhammad
Introducing the California Warriors - we are a full contact Adult Minor League football organization founded on four guiding principles: Discipline, Commitment, Character, and Excellence. Our organization is a foundation of athletes who understand that it's not necessary to be a multi-million dollar professional athlete to make a positive impact in our community and the lives of our youth.
Our organization promotes talented and experienced athletes who have the willingness to improve themselves and their community. Also, we have a staff to assist players who wish to take their football talents to a higher level.
The mission of the California Warriors is simple; to be a successful football organization that offers athletes a place to improve and demonstrate their talents, while coming together to support local youth programs and represent the community with pride and integrity.
The California Warriors was founded by Michael Sagapolu, a former South Pacific Islander/Polynesian athlete who played for the Salt Lake Stallions of the Utah Indoor Football League and was in the United States Indoor Football League/Arena Football and the Rocky Mountain Football League. He also played for the elite Utah Blitz of the Rocky Mountain Football League under Jeff Labounty. Michael also has experience at the University Level. With over 13 years of football experience, it was only natural for him to start the California Warriors Organization.
In the spring of 2006, the California Warriors of the Tri-City area will be kicking off its first season in the Golden Coast Football League (GCFL). We are currently holding open tryouts for all positions on Saturdays, Jan. 14, 21, 28 and other dates to be posted on our team website: www.eteamz.com/calwarriors.
