Looking for Christmas spiritsby Kate Amon
The most visited and famous of Christmas decorated neighborhoods of the Tri-Cities is "Crippsmas" Place; festivities and lighting extend far beyond the epicenter of Cripps Place. This area of Fremont has been celebrating the holidays for more than 30 years; over 50 homes are decorated to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Nearly 150,000 people visit this neighborhood to see hundreds of popular cartoon characters and ogle at the spectacular displays each year.
This year, coordinators are looking for volunteers to spend an evening or two to spread holiday cheer by handing out candy canes and treats while accepting donations. Help is needed from Saturday Dec. 17 through Monday, Dec. 26 and scheduling is flexible.

For those coming from Highway 880, exit at Decoto Road and travel east (approx. 1 mile). Turn right at Fremont Blvd. and travel about 1/3 mile and turn right at Nicolet Ave. |
