California is facing an education crisis
Funding levels are low, class sizes are growing and resources are decreasing.
To address these issues and inform people about the educational system, the Fremont Chamber is hosting The Future of Education Forum on Friday, Dec. 9 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Fremont Marriott featuring Doug Gephardt, superintendent of the Fremont Unified School District; Jeff Poe, president of the Fremont Unified Teachers Association; and Scott Plotkin, executive director of the California School Boards Association.
A question and answer period will follow the speakers' opening remarks. Lunch is included.
Tickets are $30 for Fremont Chamber members and $40 for non-members. Table and event sponsorships are available for $500 and $1,000. For more details, contact Billy Sandbrink, director of government affairs, at (510) 795-2244 x107 or send an email to bsandbrink@fremontbusiness.com. |
