Fremont Police Citizen Academy
It's time again for the Fremont Police Citizen Academy. Sign-up have started. The next class starts October 20 and ends January 5 2006. Meetings are every Thursday night at the police department from 7 to 10 p.m. The Firearms Range Day will be on Saturday, Nov 26. Graduation session is January 5, 2006.
The Citizens Academy is a 12 session program that educates people about all the aspects of your police department. Attendees get training in things like patrol function, investigations, traffic, K-9's, drugs, jails, fraud, CSI demonstrations, and firearms use (yes, you will spend one morning out at the range shooting a variety of weapons). The final session will be a practical with role players and scenarios so that you can see what it is like to be a patrol officer. Learn about law enforcement, and have a personally enriching experience.
