Mission Valley Coffee Roasting Company location to closeMission Coffee Roasting Company expands
Mission Valley Coffee Roasting Company, one of Fremont's oldest established coffee houses and a favorite meeting place for Fremont residents over the past 12 years is closing its doors next month. Owners Gael and Don Stewart will continue to operate the Mission Coffee Roasting Company on Washington Boulevard in the Mission San Jose District, which will absorb the former operation with expanded hours and services.
"This is a difficult process for us to go through, but it also gives us an opportunity to concentrate our energies on our store in Mission," said Gael Stewart. "Don's already picked out the location for his coffee roasting machine and I've promised everyone that our table in the meeting room will move with us."
Gael points out that only the storefront is closing. The business itself is not, nor will the Mission Valley Coffee Roasting Company name go away. The Stewarts will continue to operate their gourmet catering coffee cart seen at countless civic, corporate and private events over the years.
A grand send off for the closing store and its longtime patrons and friends is planned for Wednesday, September 7, its last day of operation. The next day, a celebration of the combining of the two locations will be held at Mission Coffee. More information about both will be available shortly on the business's website at www.fremontcoffee.com.
