August 9, 2005 > New calendar to benefit Newark schools

This year the Gifts for Schools Program is producing a calendar to celebrate the city of Newark's 50th anniversary and 140 years of public education in Newark. The calendar features many of the "Treasures of Newark" as photographed by Jeanette Butler. Funds raised by the calendar will be distributed by the Newark Chamber of Commerce Partners in Education Foundation. The calendar will be offered to Newark schools to sell and the proceeds stay at their school sites.
