August 2, 2005 > Great Video Game Challenge 2005

Applications are now being accepted for the League of Volunteer's (LOV's) Great Video Game Challenge 2005. This all-ages competition will be held at the LOV Community Center, 35233-C Newark Blvd., Newark in the Lido Faire Shopping Center. Everyone is invited to try their skills at PlayStation 2's "NFS Hot Pursuit 2" and "Tekken 4."

Ages 5 and under and ages 6 to 9 will compete on August 16, ages 10 to 12 on August 17 and ages 13 and over on August 18. Proof of age is required. Check-in is at noon. the day of the event and certificates will be awarded the same day. Applications are available at LOV, the Newark, Fremont and Union City Community Centers, Silliman Activity Center and Tri-City area libraries. This event is a farewell to vacation fun and caps off LOV's many summer programs for area youth. For more information call (510) 793-5683.
