CourtMobile to visit Milpitas libraryby Linda E. Arbaugh
The Santa Clara County CourtMobile will be at the Milpitas Community Library on Friday, July 15 from 1:30 until 4 p.m. The CourtMobile offers free legal information and referrals. A lawyer is available to help with the following issues: custody and visitation, civil law, child support, restraining orders, divorce, guardianship, landlord/tenant, and more.
Bring a copy of your most recent orders, unless you need help finishing a divorce settlement. In that case, bring all of the documents involved. If you cannot read and write English, please bring a friend or family member who can help you fill out your paperwork. The CourtMobile cannot help people who have attorneys. If you had an attorney, but are no longer using them, bring a written, filed court order proving that you do not now have an attorney. Please make plans for someone to watch your children while the CourtMobile staff helps you. The CourtMobile staff does not represent you or give legal advice. They are only able to give legal information.
The CourtMobile is wheelchair accessible. For more information, call the Library at 262-1171, or check the CourtMobile website at www.scselfservice.org. |
