Bright lights and action, ACPA is spectacular
For the past ten years, Academy of Chinese Performing Arts (ACPA) Artistic Director and President David Chen has coordinated student recitals that combine elegant costumes, pageantry, energy and the precision of traditional Chinese and modern dance. Since opening a dance studio 13 years ago, his goal has been the same, "To secure a solid foundation for Chinese culture in American society. Judging by student (and instructor) presentations at a recent student recital and performance held at Ohlone College, ACPA is achieving its purpose while thriving as an important cultural asset in Fremont and the south Bay Area.
