Fremont 4th of July Parade 10 a.m. - Noon A 10 a.m. parachute jump and a fly over by two WWII fighter planes to kick off the parade. Nine marching bands, patriotic floats, giant balloons. Come before 9 a.m. for convenient parking and pre-parade activities for children. Mission San Jose Starting at Ohlone College at Pine St., Fremont (510) 873-7701 Independence Day Concert 8:15 p.m. Celebrate our country's independence with the 91st Division Military Band, with bagpipes and cannons, as they commemorate our country's 229th birthday. Independence Day Celebration 10 a.m. Celebrate July 4th with patriotic music from a brass band on the lawn and fiddle music in the farmyard. Games, contests and races for everyone all day long. Test your skill at nail-driving, egg toss, watermelon seed spitting, join a bucket brigade and tug-o-war.
