Art classes at ICCby Arathi Satish
Summer is almost here and many parents are starting to think about what to do with the kids over school break. One idea is to enroll them in art classes at the India Community Center (ICC) in Milpitas.
Led by Pavani Vijay Kaushik, Anjum (Suzie) Khan and Sheetal Seth, the Arts and Crafts Club offers art workshops where the kids can have an opportunity to show their artwork at community-wide art shows.
"Teaching both children and adults is a learning experience in itself," said Kaushik who heads up the "Kids Kreate" class at the center. The annual summer camp gives her a chance to design fun and lively art programs for ages 5 and above. In addition to instructing at the center, she also teaches basic drawing skills, watercolor, acrylic and oil painting at her home studio in Fremont.
