April 19, 2005 > Freeway potholes pose hazard

When merging northbound onto I880 from Mission Boulevard, I have noticed deep cuts and potholes for the past year. The worst spot is near the sign "Weigh Station 1.5 mile" just short of NUMMI. I brought this to the attention of Caltrans authorities through their website but did not receive acknowledgement of my complaint. Some repair work has been done but in a half-hearted way; many dangerous spots remain. I worked in this field in India and feel sad to see the condition of this road since California highways are a mecca for highway engineers from all over the globe.
