Committee for Restoration of the Mission San Jose to Show Fremont's Pastby Laura Diaz
"The Impossible Dream" a pictorial history of Fremont's first 25 years from former Fremont mayor Don Dillon, will be shown at the Old Mission San Jose on April 13. The photos from the collection show many scenes of well-known locations in Fremont as they appeared at the time of its formation. It illustrates the origins of this area's general plan and sets forth the hopes and dreams of the original founding fathers and their vision of Fremont's future. It establishes the goals for land use patterns and provides the guide for the orderly transformation of open land to that of a major California city.
