Finally, the rain paused on the afternoon of Sunday, March 20. While children waited anxiously in the multi-purpose room at James Leitch School in Warm Springs (Fremont) while the Easter Bunny's helpers hid over 1,000 plastic eggs filled with jelly beans in the school courtyard. Beaming faces reflected the success of this first joint project of the Warm Springs Business and Community Association (WSBCA) and James Leitch/Warm Springs PTA. Children were released to hunt for the eggs by age groups and all were successful with a little help from parents.

The WSBCA wishes to thank PTA coordinator Dawn Nogueiro, Mrs. Tracey Markiewicz's 5th grade class at Warm Springs School who helped the Easter Bunny by stuffing hundreds of eggs and Mother Nature who was kind and parted the clouds at just the right time. WSBCA also would like to extend a "thank you" for jellybeans courtesy of La Quinta Inn & Suites and photographers Anna Koan, Nancy Hoehenrieder and Jan Giovannini-Hill who chronicled the event.
