Stage 1 Community Theatre will hold auditions for the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Proof by David Auburn, on Monday and Tuesday nights, April 4 and 5, at 7 p.m. at Newark Memorial High School Theatre, 39375 Cedar Blvd., Newark. Callbacks will be on April 11. Performances run from June 10 to 25 in the Black Box Theatre.

Director Donna Foley is casting four roles:
Robert, 50s, a professor of mathematics at the University of Chicago.
Catherine, mid to late 20s (able to play 25), Robert's daughter and caregiver.
Claire, late 20s (able to play 29), Catherine's sister; a currency analyst by profession.
Hal, late 20s (able to play 28), a mathematician and former student of the professor.
