This year's theme for the Science, Earth and Health Festival at James Logan High School, is "Science and Kids" and will feature a host of activities and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy, including a visit from a NASA astronaut.
The event is free and will include information booths, live animals and great food along with demonstrations, contests and performances by various groups and healthcare professionals. Festival activities will include visits from the Oakland Zoo Classroom Safari, Chabot Space and Science Center, Washington and St. Rose Hospitals and other science and earth groups.
Performances by the New Haven Unified School District "The Recycling Players," Wild Animal Safari and Health and Science musicals will be sure to entertain kids and adults alike. Competitions will include radio-controlled car racing, Egg Drop contest, Art contest and a Paper Airplane contest.
