Dinner and Dreamcoatsby Shirley Sisk
The League of Volunteers and the Newark Arts Council are sponsoring an evening of good food and entertainment. The invitation is out to join them for the Friday evening, Jan. 28 performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The show, presented by Stage 1 Theatre in Newark, is a hip retelling of the biblical story of Joseph and his 11 brothers.
At 6 p.m., theatergoers will dine at the home of Arts Council member, Fred Jueneman on a great buffet dinner, including fine wine and hors d'oeuvres, provided by the members of the Arts Council. Following dinner, guests will make short trip to the theater to catch the 8 p.m. curtain, sitting in seats reserved for this popular show.
The cost for the buffet dinner and theatre is only $24 per person, $20 for an Arts Council Supporting member. Season ticket holders to Stage 1 may enjoy dinner for only $8. Call (510) 793-5683 to reserve your tickets or drop by the LOV-Newark Community Service Center, 35233-C Newark Blvd., in the Lido Faire shopping center. You may also charge your reservations via MC, VISA, and Discover of American Express.
Don't miss a great evening of fun and help to support the many art programs presented by LOV. |
