Newark Recognizes Volunteer Blood Donor MonthAmerican Red Cross receives proclamation
The city of Newark has issued a proclamation to encourage its residents, businesses and organizations to give blood in January as part of Volunteer Blood Donor Month. Mayor David Smith urged people in good health to donate blood regularly. He also asked that all civic and service organizations form blood donor groups to provide blood donations for others. There is a Red Cross Blood Center in the Cedar Village Shopping Plaza, 39227 Cedar Blvd., Newark and it is open Tuesday - Saturday. |
