Southern Wine & Spirits of Northern California Holds 15th Annual Christmas PartyUnion City business continues its tradition of bringing holiday cheer to Union City
For the past 14 years, Southern Wine & Spirits of Northern California has opened its doors to children of employees and invited young guests whose families lack the means to include similar festivities and gifts to celebrate the season. This year was no exception as on Friday, December 10, Mrs. Claus (Bonnie Howard from the mailroom) stood outside and directed guests to the party inside.
The evening was filled with lots of fun and good party food - hot dogs, chili dogs, popcorn and cotton candy - as guests watched jugglers Nick and Shaun Shutes, known as "A Pair of Shutes" whose father is Facility Manager Colin Shutes. Melinda Matsumoto helped at the cotton candy machine as her mother, Joann Matsumoto, from IT Operations stood next to her and handed out popcorn. Beanbag toss and a cake walk kept everyone busy while youngsters stood beside Snow White, Winnie the Pooh, Mickey and Minnie Mouse for a hug and pictures.
The party culminated with the appearance of Magician Extraordinaire, Ryan Adler who wowed the audience with his prestidigitation, levitation and feats of amazing magic followed by the appearance of Santa Claus, who took time out from his busy schedule to bring some early gifts to attendees. Everyone left in the holiday spirit and the 15th annual party was in the books! Time to start planning for number 16! |
