Kids, get ready to bait your hook and cast a line at Newark's Fall Youth Fishing Day at Sycamore Cove in Lakeshore Park! On Saturday, November 6th, from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m., boys and girls will be introduced to the great sport of fishing during this fun and informative clinic. The lake will be stocked with fish and experts will give basic instruction on knot tying, casting, and fish handling. Kids are welcome to bring their own pole or borrow one of the loaner poles available at the clinic. A parent or guardian must accompany children under the age of 8 years of age. All participants will receive a free tackle box and other assorted goodies.

There is no cost for the clinic and all children all welcome. Sycamore Cove in Lakeshore Park is located on Lake Boulevard at Parkshore Drive in Newark. For more information, please call 510-790-7290.
