League of Women Voters Hosts Series of Candidate Forums
The League of Women Voters of Fremont, Newark and Union City (LWVFNUC), a nonpartisan political organization that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, will be hosting a series of candidate forums during the coming weeks.
The next forum will be held on Thursday October 14 at Comcast Studio, 555 Mowry Avenue in Fremont. From 7 - 7:30 p.m. will be the Mayoral forum and the second, from 7:45 to 8:45 p.m., will involve candidates for the Fremont Unified School District Board.
The New Haven School Board Chambers (located at 34200 Alvarado Niles Road, Union City), will host the next forum on October 18, beginning at 7 p.m. The forum times are as follows; Mayor of Union City from 7 - 7:45 p.m., Union City Council from 8 - 8:45 p.m., and the New Haven School Board from 9 - 10 p.m.
