Our Lady of Guadalupe Celebrates Harvest Festival, 40th Anniversary and Walk-a-Thonby Lorrie Keltie
Celebrate the fall season at Our Lady of Guadalupe Harvest Festival on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004 from 10am to 5:30 pm at 40375 Fremont Blvd. (between Stevenson and Grimmer), Fremont, (510) 657-1674. Family fun includes Bean Bag toss, Ping Pong Toss, Baseball Toss, Football toss, Water Balloon Launcher, Obstacle Course, Giant Slide, Roulette, Duck Pond and a Cake Walk. Wristbands for unlimited games for children can be purchased for $20. Dollar tickets will be sold for food, soda, water, beer, wine, and games.
Our Lady of Guadalupe School (formerly St. Leonard and St. Leonard-Santa Paula), Fremont will be holding a 40th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, October 23 at the school site. Our doors first opened in 1964. If you attended our school during the years since 1964 or know where any fellow classmates are, please contact the school for more information. The celebration will begin with a social hour at 4pm, Mass at 5pm, followed by Dinner and Open House. The cost of the dinner is $12 per person. Children are welcome. Forward checks to the school office at 40374 Fremont Blvd. Fremont 94538 prior to Oct. 9th and tickets will be sent to you. Please send any photos you may have.
Lastly, our children will be participating in their first annual Walkathon on Friday, Oct. 8th during the school day. Students will walk around the track in the field for one hour. Friends and family will sponsor the students per lap or as a flat fee. Prizes will be awarded and everyone is a winner. Proceeds will benefit OLG School.
