A Mission to Mexico
InRoads Christian Church of Fremont will soon be on its way to Mexico. Actually, some of the parishioners will represent the church, along with their pastor, Jeff Harris, on a trip which will result in a house being built in 3 days! These people have raised money to travel to El Florito, a suburb of Tijuana, Mexico as part of an organization called "Amor." This program, controlled by an alliance of pastors in Mexico, helps those without the means to build substantial shelter for their families.
Each InRoads participant must raise their own funds to cover the trip, but the end result of building lasting relationships and camaraderie is well worth the cost. Pastor Harris has been making the trip for eight years and never tires of the energy and appreciation he receives in return. Others who will make the trip include Chris Arnett, Michelle Jang, Becky Garabedian, Jay Christian and Jeremy Rhodes.
