Summer Drama Camp at Camp Loma Marby Praveena Raman
This year Tri-City youth will have an opportunity to participate in an overnight drama camp at Camp Loma Mar in the Santa Cruz Mountains, sponsored by the YMCA. Doug Cembellin, past Centerville Junior High teacher and founder/director of the Summer Drama Camp in Fremont, has teamed up with the YMCA to combine a traditional camp experience with the benefits of an exciting performing arts program. He spends his non-summer months in Los Angeles as an actor and studies with acting coach Howard Fine.
Camp Loma Mar is open to youth ages 12 through 16 years of age. It will include workshops on acting technique, stage movement, dance, improvisation, teambuilding, film making, musical theatre, painting, directing, script writing, plot development, Shakespeare, one act plays, arts and crafts, make-up, and more.
Evening activities include swing dance, square dance, campfires, a night hike, improvisation night, skits, songs, videos, slide shows, a talent show and games.

Actress Paulette Ivory - credits include the London CD Recording and stage production of "The Lion King", Title Role in the National Broadway Tour of Elton John's "Aida", Major Motion Pictures "Four Weddings and A Funeral", and "Lords of Dogtown" starring Heath Ledger; filming June 2004.
Makeup Artist Victor Cembellin - credits include The Academy Awards, Sundance Film Festival, New York's Fashion Week, Paris Hilton, Liza Minelli, and Missy Elliot
And
Piper and Michael Moretti.
The cost of Drama Camp is $450 before June 1st and $475 after June 1st.
