The California School for the Blind, and Fremont Main Library will host a special free musical event to celebrate National Library Week on Tuesday, April 20, from 3:30 p.m. -5:00 p.m. at the Fremont Main Library.
Wayne Siligo, the Musical Director at California School For the Blind, said that "no matter what may be our personal challenges, or how humble our beginnings, music gives us a means to communicate in its own unique and wonderful way." The CSB Band started its first off-campus performance at a local shopping mall for the Holiday Season in 1984. Since then they have performed for a wide range of functions; i.e. from National Education Conventions, to state wide conferences and professional groups. He was very impressed by the versatility of these gifted performers, and hopes the audience will enjoy the musical offerings, and will remain supporters of programs at The California School for the Blind in Fremont, CA.
Refreshments will be provided by the Fremont Friends of the Library Fremont Main Library, a branch of the Alameda County Library, is located at, 2400 Stevenson Blvd. in Fremont and is wheel chair accessible.
