The Ohlone College Biotech Summer institute is for High School students or graduating High School seniors interested in beginning their preparation for the Biotech industry. Students who have completed a Biotech class or College Prep Biology & College Prep Chemistry or equivalents are eligible to apply.

The intensive Program includes: Four-week session, M-F 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. from June 21 - July 15; Three-week session internship from July 19 - August 6 (course grade of "B" or better is required for an internship).

The Biotech Summer Institute is limited to 16 students. To apply for the program you must e-mail the following information:

• Statement of interest in the program & how it will benefit you - including list of the science & math courses you will have completed by the end of this academic year and the grades earned (or expected).
  
• Statement of support from a science teacher, counselor or administrator from your high school (which may be e-mailed).
  
• Include: your name, address, phone #, e-mail address, year in school; and the name, phone #, e-mail address of your high school science teacher, counselor or administrator who is supporting your application.
  
• Statement confirming that you will provide your own transportation to and from Ohlone College (week 1-4) and Biotech Co. (week 4-7) during this program.
