Understanding the Homeless
A Discussion with Louis Chicoine, Executive Director of the Tri-City Homeless Coalition
The League of Women Voters of Fremont, Newark, and Union City (LWVFNUC), a non-profit organization that promotes civic participation, is holding an open forum to discuss the homeless situation in the Tri-City Area. "Many people are not aware of the extent of the homeless problem in the Tri-City area. W want to inform the public about what is being done and what needs to be done," stated Ken Ballarad, Program Vice-President for the League of Women Voters.
The event will be held Monday, March 22nd from 7 to 9 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church 37051 Cabrillo Terrace (south side of Thornton Blvd at Cabrillo St. 4 blocks east of highway 880).
