Please join us on Monday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m. to Meet the Authors: Ann Parker and Penny Warner. Their program, Silver and Gold, takes us back to the days of the gold rush and the silver boom.
Ann Parker is the author of Silver Lies, a historical mystery set in the 1879 silver boom of Leadville, Colorado. Silver Lies was chosen by Publishers Weekly as one of the best mysteries of 2003. Saloon owner Inez Stannert must discover who killed precious metals assayer Joe Rose after his body is found behind her saloon. Penny Warner is the award-winning author of the mystery series featuring deaf reporter Connor Westphal. In the latest addition to the series, Silence Is Golden, Connor anticipates a gold mine in newspaper sales, but her next headline comes as a surprise. Town character Sluice finds a gold nugget that turns out to be the gold tooth of a long-buried skeleton.
